These hand crafted chairs are built to order, and made from the finest materials available The cedar is forested in the Canadian Rockies, by Downie Timber Company (Selkirk) This Kiln Dried product is then hand crafted into these wonderful chairs. All chairs are machined and assembled in our Minnesota facility and have the option of a clear satin polyurethane finish prior to shipping. We always recommend that a finish be applied to maintain it's original beauty. An oil based penetrating finish such as SuperDeck Deck Stain is preferred
