Trex Protect Butyl Tape
Trex Protect Butyl Tape protects your rims, joists, and beams, sealing around deck fasteners to keep out moisture and protect from water damage, rot, or mold. Simple to install, this tape also helps your deck screws stay in place and hold longer.
- 50' Rolls
- Available in 3 Widths: Joist 1-5/8", Beam 3-1/8", or Rim 11"
Note: Trex Protect Tape is for water protection on deck framing without a water diversion system installed. Do not use with Trex RainEscape. Use Trex RainEscape Tape when installing RainEscape troughs & downspouts.

Trex Protect Butyl Tape protects wood deck framing from water damage
- Use 1-5/8" Protect Joist Tape to protect joists
- Use 3-1/8" Protect Beam Tape to protect beams & double beams
- Use 11" Protect Rim Tape to protect rim joists, stairs, fascia, & ledger boards
