Regal QuickStep Stair Treads are the perfect way to add steps to Regal Aluminum Stair Stringers. These stair treads are made of high-strength S-Glass fiber that accommodates up to 36" wide stair stringer spacing with end caps for trimming to any length. Regal Stair Treads attach from beneath, so there’s no visible fasteners. QuickStep Stair Treads will not twist, expand or shrink, and are flame and water-proof. Available in Slate Gray or Natural Cedar.

Use these self drilling screws by Regal to attach the treads to the stringers.

    No install info is provided. If you use the holes in the stringer pads as a drill guide, the drill bit will hit internal metal supports inside the steps and push the drill out of alignment with the hole pattern.

    Expensive. Hard to free hand drilling. Drill bit get caught in internal framing. When drilling you need to wear gloves because loose
    fiberglass pricks the skin. Need a factory template to drill holes for
    aluminum risers. Not a forgiving
    process like treated lumber.
